Background - Support & Acknowledgements

Drs. Rourke and Dr. Leduc gratefully acknowledge financial support from the Government of Ontario for the May 2006 and August 2009 editions of the Rourke Baby Record.  This project also included research on the use of, satisfaction with, and criterion validity of the Rourke Baby Record (16) with assistance both from the Centre for Studies in Family Medicine at The University of Western Ontario, and from the Primary Healthcare Research Unit, Faculty of Medicine at Memorial University of Newfoundland.

The College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC), the Canadian Paediatric Society (CPS), and their Joint Action Committee on Child and Adolescent Health (JACCAH) have made valuable contributions through their members and organizational structures.  The Rourke Baby Record has been endorsed by both the CFPC and CPS since 2000 and is available on the websites of both organizations – www.cfpc.ca and www.cps.ca.

The Ontario College of Family Physicians (OCFP) has administered the Government of Ontario research and development funding since 2005. Financial contributions to support ongoing RBR development projects are welcome, and can be directed to the Ontario College of Family Physicians as fund administrator. All contributions will be acknowledged

The Dr. Wallace J. Ingram Award for New Faculty in the Faculty of Medicine, Memorial University of Newfoundland, has enabled Leslie Rourke to further knowledge translation including development of this website.

Special thanks to Professional Development & Conferencing Services at the Faculty of Medicine, Memorial University of Newfoundland for their support of this project, and especially to graphics guru Arlene Mercer and web wizard Robert Glynn!
